Parts Return Policies

  1.  All AR, SV, NS, & NE part condition codes are backed by our 30-day money back guarantee.

  2. All items listed as cores or repairable (condition code RP) are not returnable unless the core was sent in for repair and determined to be BER (Beyond Economic Repair), in which case a full refund for the purchase price will be issued.  Return MUST include tear-down report from a CERTIFIED repair shop, qualified to service/repair the part number in question.  Failure to include tear-down report will incur a 50% restocking fee from the purchase price.

  3. Buyer to pay return shipping for all returns except in the case of SV, NS, or NE condition codes that do not function as designed.  In this case, shipping costs will be covered by Smokin’ Rivet Airparts & Salvage at the lowest cost rates (generally USPS or Fed Ex / UPS ground services uninsured).  AR units that do not function as intended are eligible for a full refund of purchase price, however, buyer is responsible for shipping expenses both on the initial shipment and the return shipment.  Shipping by cheapest method is completely acceptable for items, however, any item over $100 dollars that is damaged in shipment and not in the same condition as when sold, will be limited to $100 reimbursement (the maximum allowed for uninsured packages by UPS / Fed Ex) and any other monies paid will be forfeited.  Therefore, we highly encourage insurance on higher value items and up to the purchase price, as we have had numerous experiences of packaging services breaking and / or damaging goods in transit, even when very well packaged, in excess of their own recommendations.

  4.   The 30-day return window starts on the invoice date (or shipment date) whichever occurs later.  The 30-days is based on CALENDAR days and not business days.  Please contact us if you will run close or slightly over the 30-days prior to processing a return and we will be glad to work with you to ensure you get your refund issued.

  5. No refunds for any reason (even if unserviceable or BER) after 60 CALENDAR days for any reason, including any condition code not working as intended, cores being determined to be BER, etc.  As we cannot control handling and use of items out of our control, we must limit liability to a reasonable period for returns.  We request you inspect and/or function check any parts immediately upon receipt.

  6. Payments made via PayPal and EBay will have monies returned to your account through those systems.  Online, email, and telephone orders will have refunds issued by company check, regardless of method of payment.  To keep costs low, checks are preferred method of reimbursement as credit card processing fees are charged on both the initial purchase as well as the returned monies.  By eliminating or reducing these costs, we can keep our parts prices very competitive by limiting overhead costs.

  7. Please call or email prior to returning any part so we are aware of it’s expected arrival.  If you have tracking numbers, please include those as well when returning items so we can track as required, and you will also know when delivered to Smokin’ Rivet.
